This popular orienteering and endurance event is divided into three events

 3, 7, and 14 Hills Challenges

CyclistTake on the challenge of an orienteering ride against the clock, as you pit your bike and stamina against the 3 hill, 7 hill or 14 hills challenge. For the 7 Hills Killer start at Sandown Airport and make your way across the Downs towards Freshwateror... if you're tough enough for the 14 Hills Killer, start at Freshwaterand ride to sandown and back again.  For those that are new to the extreme sport the 3 Hills Challengers head to Freshwater from the start point at Mottistone.

The finish venue for all of these events is Afton Park, Freshwater and facilities are available for transporting you and your bikes either to Sandown in the morning (parking available at Afton Park and the Airport) or back to Sandown in the afternoon for those that need to get back to the start point. There is a limited amount of transport available at the beginning and end of the event between Sandown and Freshwater.  This is for the 3 and 7 Hills events, so you don't need to worry about getting back to your vehicle. If you would like to book transport please indicate this on your entry form so that we can ensure there is enough spaces for everyone. For all those that survive there will be refreshments and entertainments at the finish point. For information and registration please telephone 01983 823070 or join our mailing list here

Hills Killer Competitor Notes

This event is organised and run using the software SPORTident and this is included in your entry fee.
SPORTident equipment is used to identify, time and score competitors in many different types of event. The competitor carries a small electronic SI-Card. This is dipped into electronic stations, which are located at each checkpoint.

At the end of the ride, the contents of the SI-Card are downloaded into a computer. Competitors are immediately given a printout that provides a summary of their performance. The results are also uploaded onto our website.
