New for 2007 is the inclusion of the Wight Challenge as part of the Isle of Wight Cycling Festival – A multi discipline event that features running, cycling and kayaking. This popular event has been running for a number of years and we are pleased to be incorporating this as part of the Isle of Wight Cycling Festival on Saturday 15th September.

Also taking place that weekend is the 2007 West Wight Triathlon taking place on Sunday September 16th. This is one of the most picturesque triathlon events in the South of England and consists of a 600 metre pool swim, 35km cycle, 7.5 km run. The cycle route takes in the spectacular coastal Military Road and the run is a flat out and back route along the River Yar. For more information or to sign up then please visit their website at www.westwight.co.uk/triathlon
