Details of the 2010 event will be added in spring 2010.

The Festival Launch - Saturday 19th September 2009
11am – 4pm at Seaclose Park, Newport

Have a go at the challenging obstacle course, learn new cycling skills, try a unicycle, or join in with one of the free guided rides leading to or from the park. There will also be electric bikes, cycle security information, road safety displays and lots more family entertainment including face painting, bouncy castles, magic shows and circus skills.

Watch the amazing Team Extreme shows and witness riders launching into the air to ridiculous heights and performing unbelievable stunts! The riders perform grinds, spins, flips and all sorts of crazy technical moves. They will also provide coaching for the public between displays so bring your wheels and have a go.

Bonkers Frog activity holiday specialists will be at the festival launch day. Come and visit them for a taste of France!

Sink or Swim - Cycle the Medina Fun Race, Seaclose Park, Newport

Saturday 19th September 2009 at 11am

Back again to cause mayhem on the river medina is the infamous Sink or Swim event. Riders navigate a pedal-powered vessel across the river avoiding the water below! Entrants are encouraged to build their own pedal-powered bike/boat, take to the river and race against each other.
If you think that you could Invent a machine to pedal your way across the Medina for this year's race either as an individual or team then please telephone 01983 823070 or contact us. There will be prizes for the fastest crossing as well as the most beautifully dressed vessel.

Set sail to the Isle of Wight and give Sink or Swim a go! Sink or Swim is a "ride" across the River Medina where riders navigate a pedal powered vessel across the river avoiding the water below!

This event is fun for all the family and spectators will have the opportunity to ride one of our Cycling Festival Swans after the "riders" have taken to the water. A safety craft will be on hand to make sure everyone is safe and sound!
